Bedford couple wins free fertility treatment from Southlake church In a copyrighted story the Dallas Morning News reported that a SouthLake Texas church awarded a free fertility treatment to a Bedford Texas couple who were childless. The pastor of the Eleven7 Church, Rev. Keith Luttrell, says that the church wants to “do for people what they can’t do for themselves.” The church had attracted considerable press coverage after announcing that it would give away a free round of fertility treatment and encouraging childless couples to apply for it. Matt and Christina Jonker were selected at random and were presented to the church during Sunday morning worship services at the church, on Father’s Day. “It was moving and emotional and exciting, all at the same time,” the pastor said. “They came up on stage and we were able to pray over them.” He went on to say that more than 100 couples applied for the fertility treatment, which is being donated to the non-denominational church by two local clinics. Even Couples that did not win the prize were invited to come to a meeting before Sunday’s service and were given informational packets about fertility treatment options. Pastor Luttrell said the winning couple do not even belong to the church, but are christians who would not have been able to afford fertility treatment on their own. “I could see us doing this again,” the pastor said of the free promotion. “I don’t know if we will.” Source: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/religion/stories/061708dnrelfertility.cf0075f.html
